Our world today is busy, fast-paced, chaotic, and confusing at times. “In the beginning”, our lives were meant to be joyful according to God’s order. Fr. Timothy preached in a homily recently that we are to be “inflamed with holiness and discipline.” We are to have only Jesus the Christ as the center of our lives.
A group of men is gathering each Thursday from 7-8 p.m. at SMV to encourage each other as we work to seek God’s will in our everyday lives. Is He really present to us each minute of the day? Is He really at work guiding and shaping us as members of the Body of Christ?
We are following the suggestion of St. Ignatius of Loyola to use the “Examen Prayer” to review our week. It is a simple, orderly, and somewhat contemplative method that is sure to help us re-center our ordinary lives on Christ. He wants us to have hearts and minds like Him! All we have to do is try, and be open to His Holy Spirit.
Please plan to join us each week, if possible. You’ll be glad you did, and “your world” will be a better place!
